Based on my previous Secrets of Strixhaven drafts, I was most comfortable with Witherbloom and Lorehold, so I was delighted to be able to put together an incredibly strong Witherbloom deck that included a copy of Cauldron of Essence, taken as my very first card, which did most of the heavy lifting and was on the battlefield for six of the seven wins
The cards expressive face adds charm and attitude, making it memorable at first glance
Anafenza, the Foremost is defensible and has been played in this list to good results, but Rakshasa Deadealer is laughably bad right now thanks to Hangarback Walker
This is a 4-drop creature (nice for Durnan to exile and cast), 1/1 with indestructible (nice for mass removal), uncounterable (nice to ensure it arrives), and has to swing each turn, funny
